Duo von Meck was founded by Laura and Matija in 2017 and is currently under the mentorship of professor Andreas Woyke. The duo regularly performs in chamber music concerts and independently organizes concerts throughout the Netherlands. Recently, they played in Porto, Portugal (2025) at Convimus Festival, won second prize at the New York Debut Classical Awards (2024) and second prize at the XV Concorso Musicale Città di Filadelfia (2024). They also received first prize at the Croatian National Chamber Music Competition (2018 and 2019) and were awarded the “Oscar of Knowledge,” the highest national award for students in Croatia for exceptional achievements and results. At the invitation of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Duo von Meck performed at Villa Prekrižje in Pantovčak.
They have refined their skills under the guidance of renowned musicians and pedagogues, including Nina Patarčec, Ela Korbar, Nives Andrijašević Janković, Marietta Petkova, Marieke Schneemann, Matej Zupan, Đorđe Stanetti, Nils Thilo-Krämer, and Marko Zupan. They have performed in Croatia and abroad, in cities such as Osijek, Varaždin, Sesvete, Samobor, Zagreb, Opatija, Vela Luka, Sinj, and in the Netherlands – Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Winssen, Ittervoort, Hilversum – as well as in Graz, Austria.
