
Laura Marjanović (born 2001) is currently a second-year master’s student in flute performance (Konzertfach) in the class of Professor Nils Thilo-Krämer and piccolo in the class of Professor Peter Verhoyen at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG), Austria. She is also in her fourth year of bachelor studies in instrumental pedagogy (IGP).
Laura was a semifinalist at the 13th Dutch International Flute Competition. For two consecutive years, she was awarded the KUG Achievement Scholarship, the Hinker Fonds Scholarship, and the Adris Foundation Scholarship. In May 2023, she participated in an improvisation project with Stegreif – The Improvising Symphony Orchestra from Berlin. She is also a scholarship holder of Live Music Now Styria, an organization that regularly organizes non-profit concerts in the Graz area. Since November of last year, Laura has been engaged as a substitute flutist with the Philharmonie Salzburg orchestra. In May of this year, she had the honor of being a KUG Fellow at the Classical:NEXT 2025 conference in Berlin. Laura has refined her skills through participation in summer courses such as Allegro Vivo in northern Austria, the Croatian Flute Academy in Karlovac, Piccolo Weekend in Belgrade, Youngmasters in Samobor, the Onalti Academy in Amsterdam, and the Forum Flute & Piano in Luxembourg. She has studied under and taken masterclasses with distinguished professors such as Wally Hase, Sonja Korak, Aldo Baerten, Carlo Jans, Mario Caroli, Barbara Gisler-Haase. Laura has also performed with the Opatija Chamber Orchestra and the Jugendorchester Styriarte.
